Thank you for posting to the forum regarding the issue you are having completing this update. The error you are getting regarding a Qualcomm CDMA driver looks to be something associated with the PC itself. We have a few suggestions at this point to get this resolved.

I had htc sync but I uninstalled that and reinstalled the one you gave me and basically it shows up as missing the qualcomm cdma technologies msm driver #7 Champ895, Nov 29, 2012 scotty85 likes this.

1. Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM Driver Required Hello When updating my Lumina 800 via zune it hangs at 6/10 and my computer asks for a Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM Driver.
2. Mar 30, 2013  Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM (theres 3 of them) Qualcomm HS-USB Modem 9001 driver solution found the Modem one but didnt do much. Wish to get this working so incase power goes out or im not home away from wifi.

First, I would check for Microsoft updates and verify that this missing driver is not picked up in this update process. You can check for available updates here, http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate. If you are informed that the computer is up to date, click the 'check online for updates from Microsoft update'. If any updates are found, run and install them, then restart your computer and try the update again.

You may also want to do an online search for this specific driver or contact your PC manufacturer for more information on this driver. The last thing we can suggest to determine if this is truely a driver for the PC is to try updating from another computer. If the update does not provide you the same error we know that driver is one required by your computer. If you get a different error on the alternate computer, detail for us the error you receive.

If you get the same error on the alternate computer it would be worth looking into the phones connection to the computer. Please try the following and report back with your results:

• Try connecting to the computer with another cable.
• Go to device manager and verify that the phone is being recognized without error here, click start > right click computer/MY computer > select manage > go to device manager. The phone should be listed as a portable device but may appear as unknown or other device. Look for any errors, these would be indicated by a yellow !.
• If the device appears without any errors, right click the phone and select uninstall. Now go to the top of device manager and select action > scan for hardware changes. Does anything change with the appearence of the device?
