Rf Mce Remote Control Or24e Drivers For Mac

Jan 04, 2010  I upgraded to Windows 7 from XP. I previously had the 2005 version of Media Center, and now have the latest version. My remote control will not work now -- the IR receiver does not recognize any input when I hit any button, though the control seems to be working. 1 eHome/RC remotes. The remotes in this section all use the Microsoft eHome driver on Windows. See Using a Microsoft remote control in Windows for details. This type of remote is supported out of the box by Kodi Live. EHome remotes are generally more expensive than the non-eHome remotes, but they are highly configurable and work very well with XBMC.

Hi Peter S G-DDLA,

What updates have you installed recently?
Before uninstalling the device what you could try is uninstall the latest updates one at a time.
This will verify which device driver is conflicting with the remote.

Here’s how to uninstall driver from Device Manager:
1. Go to start and type device manager.
2. Select device manager from the Control Panel list.
3. Locate the device from the device list.
4. Right Click on the device and select properties.
5. Navigate to the driver tab and click on Uninstall to uninstall the corresponding driver.

See if this helps in determining the root cause.

If uninstalling the updates doesn't improve the performance, it is quite possible that there’s conflict between the software or the driver and the Windows services or applications.
In this scenario I will suggest you to completely uninstall the driver for the remote from device manager and install the latest version from the link below that is released for Windows 7 as this seems to be the only option left out here.

You may choose to install the same driver you cited in your post as the version is compatible with Windows 7.

Follow the steps from above to uninstall the remote driver from device manager.
In addition, if you have any X10 software installed, see if you can remove the software from Programs and Features.

Uninstall or change a program

If uninstallation goes unsuccessful, try running Windows Installer cleanup utility.
You may download it from
http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe
See if X10 software gets listed in Installed programs in Windows Installer CleanUp dialog box.
If it gets reflected, select it and click on Remove to remove all Windows Installer information associated with the selected programs. Be aware that only the Installer information for that particular program is removed, not the files.
Having run the utility, install the version compatible with Windows 7. You may reinstall the program in the same folder where you originally installed it. This prevents duplication of files on your hard disk or disks.

Hopefully this should work.
Good day.
Happy New Year!
